Salt & Light Parents,
We are gearing up for a shift in our student ministry gatherings this week. Here are the updates:
Weekly Online Gatherings
Starting this week here our NEW times for weekly gatherings:
Middle School Zoom Bible Study every Tuesday at 3pm
High School Zoom Bible Study every Saturday at 1pm
Sunday Night Live Worship every Sunday at 5:30pm on Instagram, YouTube, & Facebook LIVE
If you have not been receiving the link for your student to join our study please let me know so I can make sure you are in the group text that I send the weekly Meeting ID and Password to. If I have a number for students I send the link to them directly. If students do not have a phone I will send the link to their parents. These are the times we are looking to keep until we are back gathering on campus for our Sunday Morning Bible Studies.
Our online worship service time have also changed. Instead of a service being streamed Friday nights we will be live-streaming from the student building every Sunday night at 5:30 on Instagram, YouTube, and (if possible) Facebook. We will continue to stream at this time every week until things open up completely.
Plain Brew Coffee Shop
As soon as North Carolina moves into Phase 2 of the re-opening plan the Coffee Shop will be open for business. We will make sure that the facilities are deep-cleaned and everything is sanitized before we open. We will also be opening up the entire student building so proper social distancing measures can take place. If Phase 2 is projected to start 2 weeks from the beginning of Phase 1 we will look to open back on Tuesday May 28th, but be looking for a further announcement from us as it gets closer. We will still be looking for our hours to be:
We should receive a final word by the beginning of June from FUGE Camp. If FUGE cancels, we will still look to be having some type of camp that week even if it only meets daily on our campus. Of course, decisions will all be made through the lens of where our state is at in its reopening process. Regardless, we will be having a meeting on Sunday June 14th (in person or online) to give details on what will be happening July 20-24. Thank you for your continual patience as we navigate our student ministry through these challenging times.
I know many of you are growing weary with all the restrictions and changes that your family has had to adapt to over the past few months. We are looking forward to being together again soon, but in the meantime, if you have any specific needs I can pray for or help with don’t hesitate to reach out!
